What do we do?

At ICF, we like to do things together. We are like a family to each other. We like to spend time together. We like to help each other. We share some of the week’s activities on social media Instagram and Facebook.
Below is an overview of some of ICF’s activities. Will we see you there?

New to Holland or Veenendaal?
We also support people who are new to Veenendaal with finding their way around Veenendaal.

Where possible, we cooperate with Veens Welzijn, HIP and the Veenendaal Helpline. But also with the other churches in Veenendaal through the Diaconal Platform (possibly include logos of these organizations?)

One on one
Within our congregation there are many wonderful one-on-one relationships in which life as a Christian is central. We strongly believe in the principle of passing on what you have received.

By sharing life, praying together, involving the Word and sharing personal experience, we help each other take another step forward on the road following Jesus.

The Alpha Course
The Alpha course is now very well known in churches in the Netherlands. This course is also organized in our congregation.

Through a meal and the themes of the Alpha course, the group delves deeper into what it means to have a personal relationship with God.

Circles
Within our congregation there are circles in different languages. Circles have a dual purpose:

We want to share life with each other as a family and we want to help each other grow as followers of Jesus. At the circles we read from the Bible, pray and eat together.

Prayer
Prayer changes a lot because God gives power to it. Therefore, prayer has a big place in our congregation. There are several prayer meetings.

On Sundays, we pray at 10 a.m. On Tuesday evenings at 7 p.m. . Every 3rd Monday of the month we pray for the mission at 7:30 p.m. . Every 3rd Tuesday of the month there is also prayer for Muslims.

Men's Evenings
Several times a year we organize a men’s night especially for the men.

We want to establish and build relationships, making God’s good news known. On these evenings we do different things, such as eating, watching a movie or discussing a topic.

Women's Meeting
About once a month we have a ladies’ night or women’s morning. We meet, eat together, relax and have conversations about God, faith and our lives. Neighboring women, friends and acquaintances are also welcome.
Al Massira
We organize an Al Massira course if there is interest. This course explores the core truths of the Christian faith. The course is aimed at people from Muslim backgrounds.
Youth Work
There are several youth groups in our congregation. The focus in these groups is relationship and faith growth. There is a focus on the content of faith and personal growth in it, as well as challenging activities.
Crèche
A space is available for toddlers (ages 0 to 3) during the church service. The children stay with the parent(s) for the first part of the service. After that, the children may go to the nursery.
Homework help
Every Tuesday afternoon homework help between 14.30-16.30
For children from group 6,7,8
Application through school or Veens Welzijn
Reading Club
Want to practice Dutch? Come to the reading club. We watch, listen, read and talk. It’s not difficult that way. And … it’s a text from the Bible. That way you learn Dutch as well as the Bible.

Monday at 7 p.m. Friday at 3 p.m.

Also put yourself in

The ICF Church is made up of people who want to get involved in the community. What could be better than to put a smile on someone’s face by helping for a while. To be able to do this, dozens of people from Veenendaal and surroundings dedicate themselves. This way we are supported practically & financially. Get involved too and contribute in time or financial means!
